Coach Carmen Jackson, a trailblazer in Florida track and field, led her alma mater to its first girls' state championship in 1975. She began coaching in 1980 and became head coach at Miami Northwestern in 1991. With 19 state titles—including 11 consecutive wins (2009-2019)—plus numerous regional, district, and conference championships, she has cemented her legacy. Coach Jackson believes high school coaching is one of the most important professions, using sport as a vehicle to enrich the lives and futures of athletes. Her accolades include multiple Coach of the Year honors and inductions into several halls of fame, including the FHSAA Hall of Fame in 2023. #WeINSPIRE #WomensHistoryMonth #PCAImpact
