Those on the ground are working tirelessly to address these critical needs, but in times of chaos, monetary donations are the most effective way to provide immediate support. Portsmouth Rotary is excited for our biggest fundraiser of the year. Christmas tree sales begin Saturday, 11/23 at 11:00am-7:00pm!! Our club members build stands, put up signs, unload trucks full of trees and get ready to begin our annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser. Beautiful fresh-cut trees are available at reasonable prices with all the net proceeds going directly to local charities, the various grants offered as scholarships to local students and community service organizations in the Portsmouth community. Our goal is to send 130 Air National Guard military care boxes overseas the week of Thanksgiving. $25 will cover the cost of a box, shipping and help us buy the supplies for package. We welcome small donations of any amount. We hope you'll help us to make our selfless troops feel loved and appreciated during their time away from family and friends. We are working collaboratively with the Hampton Cub Scout Pack #177 who will be handwriting cards for each soldier to include along with the care boxes.
