This year, the summit focused on protecting critical infrastructure, marine firefighting, emergency management and preparedness, and our first responders. This week, The Port of Virginia welcomed the arrival of the first of four new ship-to-ship cranes to be installed at Virginia International Gateway - further expanding our big ship capabilities. These new 170-foot cranes will double the amount of ULCV berths at the terminal. Upon completion of our $1.4B Gateway Investment Program in 2027, The Port of Virginia will have a total of 33 electric ship-to-shore cranes with the deepest, widest, and safest channels on the U.S. East Coast.
