We continue to make progress in our recovery. Yesterday our Seagirt container terminal handled 3,677 trucks, the most since the Key Bridge incident. We also handled 32 percent more cars in September year-over-year. Ports America Maryland Motor Truck Association

Yesterday was a great day for the Port of Baltimore! We welcomed President Joe Biden and Gov. Wes Moore to our Dundalk Marine Terminal to announce that we’re receiving over $147 million through the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean Ports Program to continue our efforts to decarbonize and electrify our marine terminals. The grant will help the Maryland Port Administration and our partners Wallenius Wilhelmsen, SSA Marine, Ports America Chesapeake, Capital Logistics, C. Steinweg Group, and CALSTART acquire 213 zero-emission vehicles and equipment and install new charging infrastructure, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 35 percent from 2020 levels. As importantly, it will directly benefit our adjacent disadvantaged and underserved communities. One of the highlights from yesterday’s event was having Gwen Williamson, a grandmother and the first female gantry crane operator and proud INTERNATIONAL LONGSHOREMENS ASSOC member, introduce President Biden. Gwen was the perfect choice to introduce the President and she did a great job!

Today, Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy was joined today by Lt. Governor Aruna Miller, Maryland Department of Transportation Secretary Paul Wiedefeld, Maryland Port Administration Executive Director Jonathan Daniels and others to celebrate 20 years of Carnival fun at the Port of Baltimore! The Lt. Governor was presented with a small replica of the Carnival Pride and in turn delivered a proclamation from Gov. Wes Moore. Executive Director Daniels also presented gifts to Carnival. Thank you Carnival for believing in the Port of Baltimore and we're looking forward to another two decades together.

Did you know that in 2023 the Port of Baltimore shipped 1,736 tons of boats and yachts, totaling over $38 million? Whether it’s luxury yachts or small boats, we keep the waters busy and the world moving!

Exciting news for the Port of Baltimore! Gov. Wes Moore, Maryland Department of Transportation Secretary Paul Wiedefeld and our Maryland congressional team announced a $31 million U.S. Department of Transportation grant to strengthen and upgrade Dundalk Terminal's Berth 11. The Port of Baltimore handles more heavy machinery than any other U.S. port and this will help position us for continued growth. The grant includes replacing 597 feet of the wharf deck and updating key infrastructure like drainage, utilities, mooring equipment, and flood barriers. As the third-largest port on the East Coast and ninth nationwide, these upgrades will help strengthen both our local and national economies.

On Saturday, we were happy to break ground on the new Swan Creek Nature Trail at our Cox Creek dredging facility. We look forward to opening the trail next year. John Sarbanes
