Leaders, kindness isn’t complacency. Here’s how to care for your team: First, in the wise words of Maya Angelou: ‘...people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.’ You can still be kind and: ➠ Create boundaries ➠ Give corrective feedback ➠ Be assertive with your strategy Be kind to those who've entrusted you with their careers. Studies in positive psychology tell us: Compassion is a better motivator than punishment. (applies to your relationship with yourself, too) How to be kind to those around you? 1. Self-compassion: ↳ it’s cliche, but you really can’t pour from an empty cup 2. Take perspective: ↳ genuine care shows, show empathy in your decisions 3. Listen with intention: ↳ people can tell when they’re not fully heard or seen 4. Practice mindfulness: ↳ increase your EQ. See things as they are (without bias) 5.
