Happy ONE-Year Anniversary Delaney! Delaney McFadden hit the ground running the first minute she walked into Port KC as our Project Coordinator. She has endless focus and energy and has an eye for detail. She somehow can peel open a program and figure out its true purpose. Congrats on one year down. We are excited for what's to come.

Some people know very early in their life what they are meant to do. Port KC’s VP of Multimodal Logistics Richard Grenville sailed off into retirement after 54 years of improving, building, studying, teaching the ways of the water around the globe. He started in the Merchant Marines when he was 16! He spent his last 12 years focused on Kansas City and the potential of the Missouri River. He brought commerce on the river back to life! Dick, Dickie, or Richard, would tell you he didn’t do it alone. He’s right, but it may not have happened at all if he wasn’t a part of the effort. We thank his family, friends, co-workers, and great partners he has helped through the decades for coming and showing support during his retirement celebration. Richard, you will be missed. But we know you have great adventures ahead of you. Enjoy!

MEDFA Conference 2024 kicked off today inside the newly opened Origin Hotel on the Berkley Riverfront. Port KC is a proud member of the Missouri Economic Development Finance Association and excited to sponsor this year's conference in our own front yard. While legislation and real estate may not be on top of your list, they are important factors to Kansas City's success.
