The StartOps Directory just got a bit better —????Introducing Verified Profiles https://lnkd.in/eWxksXCm Ecommerce operators are always looking for the best tools and services. But there’s a big problem… ..and that problem is TIME ? Simply put — there are too many vendors out there to “jump on a 30-minute call” with all of them. Verified Profiles solves this ?? Each Verified Profile is generated by me personally interviewing the founders or senior leadership of each company — taking the call so you don't have to. Each Profile is: ???SKIMMABLE — Read in 2 mins or less. ???JUICY — Answers questions like “Who’s your perfect customer?” and “How do you think about pricing”? ???UNBIASED — Companies don’t pay to get Verified, and we maintain full editorial control. Our goal is simple: Help operators connect with the right service provider, at the right time, QUICKLY. We’re launching today with our first 28 Verified Profiles, and we’ll be adding more daily. Follow StartOps to see who’s going live. A huge thanks to our launch partners for your early belief in us: Ameba Brij Capabl Crstl Dispatch Goods Doss Factored Quality (A Pietra Studio Company) Implentio, Inc Inco Talent izba Mandrel Omnics Oway Passport Parabola PorterLogic Predictive Supply Chain Solutions Rails ReturnBear (Re)vive | B-Corp Certified Shipium Sourcify Spherecast (YC S24) Stord Tarifflo Taxwire.com Third Person Two Boxes If you’re a supplier in this space and you’d like to get Verified (for free), you can join the waitlist here: https://lnkd.in/e6ySZG3k And if you’re an operator, tag your favorite vendors in the comments so we can get to them next! “When Excel becomes the enemy” In a recent conversation with a grocer’s Head of Supply Chain, we dug into the struggle with Excel for supply planning. D365 holds most of their core data, but the rigid UI isn’t designed to handle the nuanced needs of different locations and teams. Instead, supply planning is stuck in #excelhell, creating unstructured data that teams can’t see or analyze efficiently. When data’s scattered across screens and systems, distinguishing the signal from the noise becomes almost impossible. Imagine if every team could have an intuitive interface tailored to their specific processes—one that works with D365 and minimizes Excel’s role. Less friction, more clarity. #GrocerySupplyChain #DataVisibility #ERPChallenges

? 4+ Hours Saved Weekly: Hungryroot’s Move from Manual Food Inventory Reports to Automation Hungryroot was spending over 4 hours per week building reports on replenishment. PorterLogic automated this, freeing up time and ensuring data accuracy, so Hungryroot’s team can focus on critical decision-making. The food industry demands precision—automation delivers it. “In 2024, why are we still managing POs with PDFs and emails?” In a recent chat with a food wholesaler, I was struck by how manual their purchasing process remains. From entering POs into the ERP to printing PDFs and emailing vendors, then back to manual confirmation entry—this isn’t automation; it’s a daily data-entry cycle that eats up time and productivity. Imagine a workflow that integrates vendor communications directly with the ERP, eliminating redundant steps and ensuring data accuracy. It’s not just about saving time—it’s about making every step count toward higher efficiency and better vendor relationships. #POAutomation #OperationalEfficiency #SupplyChainSolutions

“We’re operating in 2024, but planning inventory like it’s 1994.” I spoke with the Head of Supply Chain at a supplement manufacturer who shared how their weekly S&OP meetings have become a marathon of manual adjustments. Forecasts are in spreadsheets, and every plan requires transferring data manually into their ERP—a time-consuming, error-prone process. Procurement doesn’t get the support it needs, and critical BOM tracking is a maze of screens. This “duct tape” approach isn’t sustainable in today’s fast-paced supply chain world. We need to empower teams with tools that support the actual needs of the business—moving beyond patchwork processes and into integrated, automated planning. #InventoryPlanning #PorterLogic #ERPChallenges

?? 14-Step Ordering Process for Perishables? Hungryroot Cut It to Zero Hungryroot’s 14-step, 22-tab ordering system required 3+ hours weekly—plus 4 more hours for spoilage reporting. PorterLogic’s automation eliminated these manual steps, reducing errors and increasing operational speed. For high-growth food companies, manual processes don’t scale. Check out the case study—link in the first comment. #OrderAutomation #PerishableGoods #PorterLogic

?? Finding $150k in Hidden Inventory—Here’s How ?? Thistle used PorterLogic to expose “hidden” inventory lurking in their perishable food operations. They uncovered $150k in excess packaging and streamlined their stock to focus on what really matters. Food inventory tracking isn’t just about storage; it’s about freeing up resources to fuel growth. Does your inventory replenishment process go something like this? 1. Spend a full day consolidating reports into an spreadsheet that’s 24 tabs strong.?Copy, don't cut, or bad things will happen. 2. Go on a coffee break, as it'll take 30 minutes to refresh the formulas. Cross your fingers that the person who built this tool (if it wasn’t you) never leaves the company. 3. Decipher the rainbow of conditional formatting to figure out what you need to buy this week. 4. Whip out the calculator to convert quantities. Let’s not order 3000 pallets when we meant to order cases again…?? 5. Consult the word doc for vendor lead times and minimum order quantities. 6. Create and export a table of POs to upload back into Netsuite. What if it could be like this? 1. Log in. All the numbers were crunched and refreshed while you were asleep.? 2. Review the system-generated list of what to order and how much. 3. Adjust as needed, draft and release the POs in 4 clicks. Life is too short to live in #ExcelHell. #Procurement #SupplyChain
