?? Attention Boaters: The Shelter Island Boat Launch will be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, for the removal of a sunken, abandoned vessel. ?? No launches will be allowed during the closure. The Port of San Diego and Harbor Police Department will work to accommodate vessels already out to sea needing to land. Safety and efficiency are our priority as we clean up and restore the facility. We aim to reopen in time for weekend boating. Thank you for your patience! Our solar-powered microgrid at the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal has earned the Facility and Infrastructure Development Award for Excellence in Studies, Plans, and Designs from the American Association of Port Authorities! ?? UPDATE: ??? Imperial Beach Pier is closed for maintenance. Starting Monday, November 18, 2024, the iconic Imperial Beach Pier will undergo essential maintenance to keep this landmark enjoyable for everyone! The Port of San Diego is replacing pilings and deck boards, and upgrading utility piping to ensure the pier remains a cherished spot for generations. ?? ?? November 18-22 – Full closure for piling placement (no public access) ? November 23-24 – Fully open for the weekend ?? November 25-27 – Partial mid-pier closure (public access still available) ??
