The Port purchased nearly 200 homes from an out-of-town investor last month with one goal - creating affordable homeownership opportunities. The Wall Street Journal shares the story of how institutional investors are buying up larger shares of the residential real estate market for high-priced rentals, and how The Port is taking ownership for residents. #affordablehousing #ThePortImpact https://on.wsj.com/3rnNehw

We found hazardous materials like acids, used oils, and detergents left behind by a previous occupant at an abandoned industrial property in South Fairmount. Thankfully, with the support of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Ohio EPA, our team could act quickly and remove these dangerous substances. This project is just one example of The Port's mission to create greener, cleaner communities by addressing environmental hazards in vacant industrial sites.
