The Port of Everett is a natural deep-water port located 25 miles north of Seattle on the Puget Sound. The Port strives to bring jobs, business and tourism to its local and surrounding communities. Along with the other state ports, the Port of Everett is committed to efficiently moving goods into and throughout Washington state and the world. The Port of Everett operations three lines of business: Seaport, Marina, Real Estate SEAPORT The Port’s international shipping terminals operate eight shipping berths on approximately 100 acres of land. The Port of Everett Seaport specializes in overdimensional, high and heavy cargoes. The Seaport is a vital link for the aerospace industry, handling all of the oversized parts for the 747, 767 and 777(X) airplane production lines. MARINA The Port of Everett operates the largest public marina on the West Coast with more than 2,300 recreational boating slips and a 13-lane boat launch facility. REAL ESTATE The Port owns 3,000 acres of waterfront property, including Jetty Island. The Port is working to restore economic prosperity to the waterfront, including its current $360 million mixed-use development project known as Waterfront Place. Port properties provide numerous public access and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy.     ICYMI: Port of Everett Commissioner Glen Bachman,CRX,CSM,CPM,RPA was elected in December to serve as President of the Washington Public Ports Association (WPPA) Board of Directors, representing the voices of the 75 public port districts in Washington State. He was previously Vice President of the Board and was re-elected to the President role for 2025 during the WPPA Annual Meeting last year. Glen has been a longtime leader and advocate for the work we do here at the Port of Everett, and we are excited to see his leadership continue to have a positive impact on ports statewide. Congratulations and thank you for your work to advocate for and support Washington’s ports!

    This year, the Port of Everett Seaport and two of its international shipping liners – Eastern Car Liner Ltd. (ECL Americas) and Swire Shipping (formerly Westwood Shipping Lines) – celebrate 20 years of direct service, supporting the efficient movement of cargo across the global supply chain. ? The Port of Everett Seaport is Puget Sound’s premier breakbulk cargo facility, handling high-value, conventional and over-dimensional cargoes in support of the aerospace, military, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, energy and forest products industries. Over the past two decades, through its many longstanding partnerships like those with ECL and Swire Shipping, the Port of Everett has moved more than $319 billion worth of imports and exports through its shipping facilities. The Port of Everett Seaport consistently ranks as #2 export customs district in Washington state and #5 on the entire U.S West Coast.     Open now! Registration for the Port of Everett’s new spring harbor tour focused on its role in regional aerospace logistics is now open. There are two tour options on Wednesday, April 23, 3:30 - 5 p.m. or 5:30 - 7 p.m. Take a ride aboard the 45-passenger Hat Island ferry. The cost is $10 per person. The tours depart from the Port of Everett Marina with quick highlights on the latest happenings at the destination waterfront and then transition to the Port’s international seaport operations and its critical role in global trade, aerospace logistics, jobs and more.     The Port of Everett has tapped Tim Ryker as its new Marine Terminals Director, following retirement announcement of long-time Port employee Walter Seidl. Ryker, joining the Port of Everett’s Seaport team on April 1, brings 20+ years of experience in maritime and stevedoring to his new role managing cargo operations in Everett. “With his extensive background in stevedoring and marine terminal operations, and his experience of working with our Seaport in the past, Tim brings an incredible amount of value to our team,” said Carl Wollebek, Chief Operating Officer at the Port of Everett Seaport. “His predecessor leaves large shoes to fill, but I am confident Tim is the right fit to ensure a smooth transition for our marine terminals’ operations and provide the best customer experience going forward." This free, two-day program that seeks to introduce and inspire high school aged students and young adults in North Snohomish County to explore careers in the construction and maritime industries. The event will be open house style with hands-on activities. There will be more than a dozen organizations at the career fair offering attendees a look at a wide variety of skills, career and education pathways, job opportunities and more. Learn more below!

    A new Construction/Maritime Career Day event series hosted by the The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce and industry partners is set for March 12-13, 2025, at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Marysville, Wash. Join us for this free, two-day program that seeks to introduce and inspire high school aged students and young adults in North Snohomish County to explore careers in the construction and maritime industries. On Wednesday, March 12, from 4 – 6 p.m., the event is open to all community members, with families, students of all ages and the public encouraged to attend. On Thursday, March 13, from 9 – 11:30 a.m., the event is only open for high school field trips. “With rising costs in traditional education pathways and a significant employment gap in the trades, it’s a great time for students and young adults entering the workforce to consider alternatives that await them here in North Snohomish County in construction and maritime,” said Ivonne Sepulveda, President/CEO of The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce. “We are grateful to our sponsors, Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology, Port of Everett, and Western Washington Sheet Metal JATC, and our many industry partners, for making this event possible.” The event will be open house style with hands-on activities.
