In a new article from the Czech Republic by Jan Mracek et al. (2024), Su-Por Patient Specific Implants were found to be extremely effective at helping to prevent Surgical Site Infections in Cranioplasties. While a low rate of infection was anticipated, the study found zero incidents, surpassing expectations! This is a 10 year study!! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/es-4Sg6Z

Have you ever wondered why Su-Por implants are made with porous polyethelene? Your body is very good at protecting you from foreign objects. Sometimes, with non-porous materials like silicone, the body will encapsulate the implant, which can lead to things like implant migration and reduce the efficacy of the implant. That can lead to more surgeries, and no one wants that! With our porous implants, the implant can integrate the?into the surrounding tissue, reducing the risk of rejection and migration. In as little as three weeks after implantation, fibrovascular tissue has already begun to integrate, and in six weeks bone integration occurs. This means Su-Por works with your body, creating a living graft that allows patients to enjoy the benefits of our implants for life!
