And aggregate by month. Review certain buckets in detail like Subscriptions. You may find you are paying for something you aren’t using. Once you have done the hard part, decide what your ‘base case’ budget is- your realistic goal. The fun part is to create your ‘high case’ and see what happens if you eat out 10% less, go on one less trip, or get your full bonus. The not so fun part, but important to know, is what happens if you go the other way???Your ‘low case’ helps you to understand where the triggers are and where you should be the most careful.
