The construction of Jennie Dean Elementary School has officially begun following a ceremonial groundbreaking on December 20, 2024! This new facility will honor the incredible legacy of Jane “Jennie” Serepta Dean, a woman who devoted her life to educating African American children. The school will be 110,904 SF and designed for 900 students, and is set to open its doors for the Manassas City Public Schools' 2026-2027 school year.

The UVA Center for Politics project involved the renovation of CFP’s two-story 1939 house, along with the construction of a one-story addition. The addition required interior acoustic considerations for various spaces, including offices, a seminar room, a 150-person event space (Community Commons), a lobby/lounge, and a library. Additionally, a media room was incorporated to support streaming and other online events. The client is expected to utilize live streaming for events originating in the event space. Polysonics was pleased to collaborate with MBB Architects on this project.?

Polysonics is happy to have provided audiovisual and lighting design consulting services for the City of Manassas Harris Pavilion. For the audiovisual component, Polysonics conducted comprehensive audio speaker modeling to assess volume coverage and determine optimal speaker locations, including the design and layout of speaker clusters. The audio system was fully integrated, with defined connectivity for inputs and outputs, as well as a structured layout for the AV system headend. Additionally, the video system will include projection solutions with appropriately sized and positioned screens, strategically placed projectors, and seamless system connectivity. Performance and movie audio systems will be incorporated alongside video display systems to ensure high-quality user experience. The design also addressed rigging requirements, sightline analysis, and the implementation of audio and video delay systems as needed. A fully integrated AV control system will be developed, along with the necessary infrastructure, including power conduit locations, to support seamless operation. For production lighting, Polysonics developed a theatrical and production lighting design that included a detailed lighting plot and fixture layout. The lighting distribution system will be carefully planned, incorporating a control console, fixture package layout, and quantity specifications. The location of the lighting headend and panel locations will be optimized to ensure efficiency and accessibility. Additionally, necessary infrastructure, including power and conduit locations were strategically integrated into the design to support the overall lighting system.
