With Trump returning to the White House this month, the U.S. is closely watching what his second administration means for a long list of issue areas - including transportation policy. His administration will oversee the execution of the last two years of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, along with its billions in remaining funding to be awarded. We expect this upcoming administration to prioritize public-private partnerships, roll back transportation regulations, and deprioritize green infrastructure projects.? Check out our latest blog post here discussing what a second Trump administration means for U.S. transportation policy.? On August 31st a New Jersey judge ruled that smoking will continue in Atlantic City, setting back casino workers 2 year-long effort to ban smoking in the gaming towns' casino floors. Currently, smoking is permitted on 25% of the casino floor in Atlantic City however, these areas don’t have to be contiguous. The fight against smoking in New Jersey casinos is not over though, as last week the group Casino Employees Against Smoking Effects filed an appeal against the August ruling. With the presidential election only a few months away, the PoliciPro team has been closely watching what VP Kamala Harris and former President Trump have to say about transportation. Both candidates offer very different visions for the future of U.S. transportation policy. We predict that a second Trump administration would focus on cutting regulations and red tape to spur transportation and infrastructure development. Meanwhile, a Harris administration would focus more on expanded federal funding to develop transportation. If you're curious about what else the two presidential contenders have to say about transportation policy, check out our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/dGa6whPU #policipro #transportation #policy #kamalaharris #donaldtrump #politics #election2024 #publictransportation #infrastructure

The rise of electric vehicles (EVs) across the U.S. has started to eat away at the gas tax used to help fund our roads, bridges, and highways.
