It’s meaningful to be back in NYC on 9/11, a city where I lived when everything changed. My memories of being here that day are a powerful reminder of the resilience and unity that define this city and our nation. Today, I was honored to serve with so many incredible people and organizations at the 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps meal-packing event. This event also launches #AmericaGives with America250 aiming to reignite a culture of service and make 2026 the largest year of service in our history. I’m proud to represent Points of Light and to stand alongside organizations like Peace Corps, Blue Star Families and Keep America Beautiful?, all dedicated to strengthening civic engagement and volunteerism.

On this #911Day, we honor the heroes and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Thanks to the support of the 9/11 community, today has become one of the largest days of service in America, where millions come together to help those in need and reignite the spirit of unity that defined us in the days after the tragedy. ????
