Point32Health colleagues celebrated Veteran’s Day this week with a cultural social hour hosted by our DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility) team and Military Veterans Colleague Resource Group including Executive Champions Peter Church and Toni-Lynn Hansen. The event featured guest speaker Tom Landwermeyer, President of Home For Our Troops and a saxophone performance by military family member Anthony Defeo-Gelman from Berklee College of Music. Yesterday, Eileen Auen, Point32Health Executive Chair, had the privilege of participating in the Annual Cost Trends Hearing from the Health Policy Commission. The discussion focused on the significant challenges our industry faces due to rising health care costs. Together, we must continue to address health care affordability across the Commonwealth while prioritizing health equity and access to care.

Leaders of our nine Colleague Resource Groups worked with the Point32Health Foundation to identify and recommend community nonprofits aligned with the CRGs’ affinities. Nonprofit organizations including Association of Latino Professionals for America (FIU), COMMUNITY HEALING CENTER, EPIC (Empowering People for Inclusive Communities), Girls' LEAP, May Institute, New Hampshire Women's Foundation, Vouchers for Veterans,The Southeast Asian Coalition of Central Massachusetts and Gay For Good Boston will receive grants totaling $45,000 from Point32Health Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan.
