We get it. Nobody wants to get left behind in the AI race. ?? But that doesn't mean using any ol' tool that leverages AI will help you get ahead. When you're shopping around for an AI product, consider: ?? Can it integrate with my go-to tools? ?? Does this product actually solve a pain or streamline a process? ?? Am I going to give it a fair shot and train my team on how to use it? Half-hearted roll outs and a lack of tool training means your new AI sidekick doesn't have a chance to get off the ground. Then, you quickly give up on it, and it's back to square one. In this week's issue of Pipeline Perspectives, we dive into why the "just add AI" strategy isn't the moneymaker you might expect it to be. Check it out! https://lnkd.in/eykA-6JQ

NEW Pod cast Episode Drop ???? Greg Smith shared this week how technology is impacting the way sales reps learn… and how sales organizations think about enabling them. The biggest difference-maker: ????????????????????????, ???????????????????? ?????????????????? Long gone are the days when the same boring curriculum is shoved down people’s throats in a conference room. When reps are working on a deal or prepping for a customer call, that’s when they need the most support. IN. THE. MOMENT. AI agents do a fantastic job of pulling relevant data for any specific deal in your pipeline and reasoning through it to provide personalized guidance. ????????’?? ?????????? ???????????????????? 2.0 ?? ????????-???????? ????????????????????. Greg and I discussed even more interesting topics like… ?? When does it make sense for sales teams to leverage outside training? ???? The benefits of teaching sales in college. Don’t you want to take matters into your own hands as a seller? ?? On the Pod-cast, I recently spoke with Greg Smith —someone who thinks a lot about leveraging technology to train sales reps better. When Greg and I first met, we both geeked out about one thing: ?? ????????-???????????????????? ?? The traditional “4 ?????????? ???? ?? ??????????????????” type of training isn’t working, and technology can be leveraged to provide more personalized, contextual enablement. He shared super refreshing takes on sales coaching and how reps have the responsibility for their own enablement (and leaders have the responsibility to nurture this mindset too). Some other topics we chatted about: ?? How and when sales orgs deploy sales training programs ?? The role that tech can play in the training/coaching game ?? Why sales should be taught in college We’re dropping the episode on LinkedIn and YouTube, so… Stay tuned ??

Account executives: Do you tend to stay in your own bubble? ?? We get that sometimes your focus mode keeps you zeroed in and a bit siloed, but it could be hurting your performance. ?? Our head of GTM, Harrison J. Saghi spoke with Pod founder Patrick Monnot ?? the other week about the importance of community in sales. Harrison said it best here: Picking the brains of people in CS, lead gen, marketing, RevOps, and more will make you a better seller ????. Collaborating interdepartmentally helps you: ???Refine your messaging ???Better understand your ICP ???More accurately position the product As sellers, the way you communicate is key to closing the deal. And getting the big picture, i.e., knowing the ins and outs of other roles, is going to be crucial for sharpening those skills. What do you think? As an AE, do you chat and network with other roles? And as a sales leader, do you foster this kind of collaboration in your sellers? If not, you might be missing out. Catch more of the conversation on sales communities and other selling tips and clips on our YouTube! https://lnkd.in/eH9uxpRB

Sorry, but most “natural” sales talent isn’t always winning the race ?? ? It’s the reps who keep growing and never become complacent. ? It’s the reps who view every call, every “no,” and every tough day as a golden opportunity to level up. ? It’s the coachable reps. This ???????????? ??????????????? It’s the game-changer. Especially with sales constantly evolving—buying preferences, technology, methodology, etc. Something that works today won’t necessarily work in five years. When reps truly believe they can improve, they... - Tackle tough challenges head-on instead of playing it safe - Put in the real work to master their craft (not just wing it) - Actually absorb feedback - Get inspired by teammates’ wins rather than letting jealousy take over But it doesn’t ? magically ? appear. ?????????? ?????????????? ???????? ???? ???????????????? ?????????????????? ????. I would love to have an exhaustive perspective on how to build a great culture in sales. But in sales, it comes down to the coaching philosophy. Leaders who coach, are involved in deal execution, and embrace a player-coach mentality will see that attitude emulated by their team. When leaders are intentional about developing this mindset, their team becomes more resilient, more creative, and ultimately more high-performing.
