One of the highlights of our partnership with the Memphis Grizzlies is our presenting sponsorship of HBCU Night Nov. 17, which started with alumni networking at the Legacy Brunch in the Sportsbar Lounge at FedExForum. The event included a panel discussion featuring Dr. Jerryl Briggs Sr. of Mississippi Valley State University, Dr. Christopher Davis of LeMoyne-Owen College, Erika Perrish of the Memphis Alumnae Association of Spelman College and our own Community Lending Manager Steve Swain. The game against the Denver Nuggets (Grizzlies 105 - Nuggets 90) included a special half-time Community Spotlight and presentation of a gift to Memphis HBCU LeMoyne-Owen College. This full-service office at 413 Dalton Ave. Suite D is led by Sherry Robinson, along with Financial Specialists Kyle Cunningham and Ashley Saavedra. Pinnacle Economic Empowerment Resource (PEER) Centers are designed to bring financial services and resources to traditionally underserved areas and provide a meeting place for partners focused on meeting the financial and other needs of the community. As part of the event, Regional Community Development Coordinator Kim M. Graham presented a $2,500 contribution to Renaissance West Community Initiative (RWI), which focuses on quality housing, education, health and wellness, and opportunity. We're grateful to Bank Director's Editor-in-Chief Naomi Snyder for sitting down to talk with our CEO Terry Turner and Chairman Rob McCabe about the origins and growth trajectory of the firm. They met in 1979 at Park National Bank, a small bank in Knoxville, and became "akin to brothers."
