In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, we are proud to highlight the Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel. Located in northeastern San Diego County, the Santa Ysabel Reservation spans over 15,000 acres of mountainous terrain, rich with indigenous plants and wildlife. The Iipay Nation established their Constitution in 2007 to preserve their culture, lands, and rights. In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, we are proud to highlight the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, a tribe with a rich history dating back thousands of years. The Kootenai Indians have long been known for their deep connection to the land and their commitment to preserving their traditions. PNE Construction was honored to partner with the Kootenai Tribe on the recently completed Sturgeon Station in Bonners Ferry, ID. This 8,660-square-foot travel center features gas and diesel dispensers, truck parking, and a convenience store. It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic loss of our colleague and friend, Kevin Seelke, who passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in Hawaii. The La Jolla Band has a rich cultural heritage and deep connection to their land, having lived in the region for thousands of years.
