Chartered in July 1996, South Carolina PMI Midlands Chapter now serves a membership of over 400, representing approximately forty businesses and industries including insurance services, engineering, financial, manufacturing, telecommunications, public utilities, higher education institutions, as well as state and local governments. Our goal is to provide opportunities for professional development, affiliation and project management networking through various means including monthly luncheon meetings addressing current PM topics. Educational opportunities include an ongoing alliance between PMI SC Midlands Chapter and Midlands Technical College to provide PMP Certification Preparation training. Luncheon meetings are held in Columbia on the 3rd Monday of each month (except in January, held on the 4th Monday). Our event calendar culminates with the Annual Dinner Meeting held in November. Our service region includes zip codes in the 290 - 292 & 295 ranges. This covers the Columbia Metropolitan area, Sumter, Camden, Florence and Myrtle Beach.

The 2024 Professional Development Day (2024 PDD) is upon us. You can make a difference by not only attending but also helping make the event thick. Below are 7 ways you can contribute to the event’s success. 7 Ways You Can Contribute to the Success of the 2024 PDD ------------------------------------------------------------------ ? Spread the Word: Share the event details with your professional network, colleagues, and friends. Encourage them to attend and invite others. ? Serve on the Planning Committee: If you're interested in getting more involved, consider joining the event planning committee. Your expertise and ideas will be invaluable. ? Volunteer: Offer to assist with event setup, registration, or other tasks. Your time and effort are invaluable. ? Champion Group Registrations: Guide and support project management practitioners within your organization who may want to attend the event. Many organizations have professional development budgets for employees. Find and share such information with your peers. Share the word. Organize group registrations. ? Provide Feedback: Share your thoughts and suggestions with the event organizers. Your feedback will help improve the event. ?Encourage your Organization to Sponsor the Event: Consider advocacy. Have your organization sponsor the event or contribute financially. This can help cover costs and ensure the event's success. ?
