Want to use your PM skills for a great cause? Outreach is important to PMI and PMI-CIC; and with that in mind, Scott Cosgrove, VP of Outreach, is currently looking to gather a small team of volunteers to project manage the 2025 Beat the Funk Out of MS event to be held in October. Please reach out to [email protected] to join this worthy initiative. About the Event: Beat the Funk Out of MS is an annual fundraising event organized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Central Illinois Community Council. Going into its third year, the event is a vibrant 70's funk celebration designed to raise awareness and funds to support those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Guests will enjoy an evening of live music featuring Dexter O'Neal and the Funk Yard, high-energy entertainment by Caleb Kelch DJ, and opportunities to participate in a funk costume and dance contest. There’s also a silent auction, heavy appetizers, a cash bar, and the chance to engage with MS Community Support initiatives. Attendees are encouraged to don their funkiest outfits for the People’s Choice FUNK Costume Contest, creating a night of lively celebration while supporting a vital cause.
