PMSMCA Jill Ackerman joined Plumbers Local 75 and Steamfitters Local 601 training school's Paul Hanus & Dave Bergeron this morning at Pewaukee Schools High School as a presenter for their Junior Achievement Career Day. This consisted of four thirty-minute sessions meeting with students who wanted to learn about these two skilled trades. The afternoon continued with a workshop at Milwaukee Academy of Science where Paul Hanus Plumbers Local 75 presented a workshop to the trades class. This is part of the industries continued efforts to provide exposure of the mechanical trades to the next generation.

This morning ?? our Contractor Member J.M. Brennan, Inc.. had student visitors from Milwaukee Academy of Science. Jill from PMSMCA stated "it's so fun seeing the students faces when they enter the building and get the tour. The Brennan team did a great job talking with the high school students and you can hear how passionate the employees are about their craft." Thank you again to Cari Brennan, the Brennan team, and John Brennan III for speaking with the students. Contractor tours are a part of many new initiatives the Alliance is helping coordinate in efforts to bring exposure of the Mechanical Trades to high school students.

Brown Deer High School received a visitor today from Steamfitters Local 601 and Jill Ackerman from PMSMCA to learn more about careers as a Steamfitter and promote Youth Apprenticeship in the mechanical trades. Students were emersed with a hands-on project that required some technical thinking and teamwork. #CareersInConstruction #YouthApprenticeship
