SECOND CHANCE LAST OPPORTUNITY INC recently welcomed the community into their newly renovated facility! The project consists of interior renovations to their existing Crisis Education building providing life-management and parenting skills training, counseling, mentoring, summer/after-school youth programs, clothing and shelter referrals, and meals/food distributions. The largest portion of the project includes a much-needed expansion to their emergency supply storage for their community distribution center, which serves the community. Big congratulations to the Howards Grove School District on breaking ground to start construction on their Middle School + High School! The District, PRA, and all stakeholders have worked together to create a master plan that will guide them towards a successful future. This phase of their master plan includes the Middle School addition featuring: - Two-story classroom wing - Central collaboration and intervention spaces - Dedicated kitchen and commons - Separate Middle School entry - Two station gym - Shared fitness room - District office administration space - Dedicated Middle School art and student service spaces And lastly (but also importantly!), this project incorporates an addition to the High School comprising of: - Secure entry sequence and new offices - Expanded/shared library and new Maker Space - Expanded/shared special education suite including life skills room #OnePRA #Architecture #Groundbreaking #SchoolDesign #AddressingTomorrowToday
