Plumbers & Steamfitters UA Local 400 is comprised of approximately 2,000 members serving eighteen counties in Northeast Wisconsin. We are a local union that is affiliated with the United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters, comprised of approximately 345,000 members across the US and Canada. Our main purpose is to provide training for our members and qualified manpower to our 105 signatory contractors for all aspects of the plumbing, pipe fitting, HVACR service, and pipe fabrication industries.

We were pleased to have had the opportunity to host the New North, Inc. and their board of directors yesterday afternoon. This organization is vital to the growth and progression of Northeast Wisconsin; our partnership with them is invaluable!
Thank you Dustin Delsman and Doug Dokey for hosting the New North board of directors yesterday at the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 400 in Kaukauna. Comprised of nearly 2,300 members serving the 18 counties of Northeast Wisconsin, their organization's main purpose is to provide training and qualified individuals for 105 signatory contractors in plumbing, pipefitting, HVACR service and pipe fabrication industries. We also heard an update from Jason Mathwig on Northeast Wisconsin (NEW) Construction Alliance along with NEWCA chair Michelle R. and guest members Jamie Blom and Josue Schwalenberg. Renee Torzala and Bob DeKoch presented a New North marketing update, highlighting the positive results of our talent attraction campaigns (more than 5,000 new residents to our region last year), and higher education initiative, and a general New North update by Barbara LaMue. A round table discussion was led by Co-Chair Sachin Shivaram on the state of the economy and business climate in #NortheastWisconsin. Lots of positive things happening in the New North!

Construction Safety Week is an annual event designed to raise awareness of the industry’s ongoing commitment to building a culture of safety through sharing best practices, tools and resources at job sites and offices across the U.S. and Canada. The United Association of Union Plumbers, Fitters, Welders and Service Techs is committed to working safely and offers extensive training for apprentices and journey workers. The work of UA 400 members and its signatory contractors' matters to help ensure that job sites are safer and better equipped to protect all workers.
