?? Due to the latest developments in the ongoing Enel X Way saga, I felt it was an appropriate time to repost this. ?? Back in October, Enel X Way abruptly exited the U.S. market, leaving tens of thousands of customers stranded without a backup plan. This sudden departure created major challenges for property owners, developers, and businesses that had invested in their charging infrastructure—many of whom are now scrambling to find a reliable alternative. ?? Not long after, a liquidator sold off Enel X Way assets to a company called VoltiE, which—ironically—now holds the exclusive right to operate JuiceBox chargers. This again is setting customers up to be put in a similar position if VoltiE were to exit the market. ?? When this saga first began, many OCPP software providers attempted to support Enel X Way chargers, offering a quick fix to the problem. However, VoltiE recently issued a press release stating that they will ? not support the migration of Enel X Way chargers to another OCPP-compliant software provider like PlugOp Technologies. ?? This is an issue we foresaw back in October, which is why we have always recommended that our U.S.-based clients: ? Take a cost-effective "Rip & Replace" approach ? Use truly OCPP-compliant equipment ? Work with a U.S.-based OCPP software provider like PlugOp Technologies ?? This ensures they never have to deal with this situation again. ??
