We've published our first-ever state reports for Texas and California with data from our annual EV driver survey. “We’re excited to supplement our annual survey with reports that take a closer look at states with different circumstances,” said Joel Levin, executive director for Plug In America. “What we’ve found is a nuanced picture. There are similarities in both states to the national results, and there are differences. Why are used EV prices converging around $25,000? ?? Vehicles appreciated in value in 2021, driving up all used EV prices. ?? Prices fell from mid-2022 to mid-2024, particularly driven by Tesla price cuts. ?? Now prices have converged where they meet demand — between $25,000 and $30,000.
