Today marks a very exciting milestone in Pledge for the Planet’s journey… Our brand-new platform and website are LIVE!!! Over the past 6 months we’ve been working on our platform, pledges and events based on learnings we’ve uncovered from working closely with community athletes, clubs and corporates. Our mission?? To ignite community spirit to power collective climate action by introducing new audiences to the first chapter of their climate journey, using community sport and activity challenges as our catalyst for change, because saving the planet is a team sport. The result? Our action-as-currency platform is designed for you to turn community spirit into collective climate action. With over 40 pledges aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals and impact data from our partners at Ripples to Waves Project, plus an array of Missions to get involved with, there’s something for everyone. Out of Climate Action Week Sydney, a run club is born! ?? The best days always start with a run, and today was no different. It was amazing to kick off today’s activities with a Run into Action with Pledge for the Planet ??♀? 30+ fellow runners and climate enthusiasts gathered at Salesforce tower to kick off a 5km run, litter pick and coffee. ???????? It was amazing to hear so many diverse conversations from government, sport, finance, energy, education, tech, NFP and startup perspectives around climate action - and to witness the connections and collaborations forming amongst the group all before 8am! ?? Being a solo founder is tough! ?? Which is why the opportunity to work with University of Technology Sydney students via UTS Shopfront Community Program on industry insights and GTM strategy for Pledge for the Planet Corporate Missions has been invaluable. ?? Today, Rebecca Vidler Sofia Galera Sofia Buttel Velasco Amy Thompson Jacob Crane presented their 12-week research project - and they nailed it! ?? Their research included qualitative and quantitative insights from market leaders and industry experts with implementation recommendations that will shape the next phase of Pledge for the Planet Corporate Missions. ?? A huge thank you to Bec, Bec, Sofia, Jacob and Amy for providing such a high-quality project that will be invaluable for our next stage of growth - you’re a bunch of legends! ??
