  • Are you trapped in the day-to-day grind of your business? It's time to shift your focus and work ON your business, not just IN it. As Michael Gerber famously stated in "The E-Myth Revisited," most business owners are technicians suffering from an entrepreneurial seizure.?We get caught up in the daily operations, forgetting to step back and strategize for long-term success. Remember, your business should serve your life, not the other way around. As Stephen Covey emphasizes in "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," we must "begin with the end in mind".?What's your vision for your company's future? To truly scale and thrive: - Develop systems and processes - Delegate operational tasks - Focus on strategic planning and growth As Richard Rumelt argues in "Good Strategy/Bad Strategy," a good strategy is not just a vision or goal, but a coherent set of actions that address specific challenges. Are you ready to transform from a technician into a true entrepreneur? Start working ON your business today and watch it flourish. #BusinessStrategy #Entrepreneurship #Leadership

Which of the following mindsets best reflects yours? ?? I read an interesting article by entrepreneur, best-selling author, and speaker Seth Godin that breaks down 5 common mindsets: 1?? The Journey Lovers: Motivated by learning itself, they prepare and train regardless of external events. 2?? The Fierce Competitors: Always striving to outdo others, adapting their efforts to stay on top. 3?? The Almost-Wins: Motivated by competition but held back by internal limits. 4?? The Pack-Followers: Willing to put in effort but never see themselves as frontrunners. 5?? The Minimum Effort Club: Finding satisfaction in doing the least possible. Key takeaway: While these "hats" can change over time, some believe the most resilient choice is to push yourself rather than wait for others to do it. Which hat are you wearing today? ?? #PersonalGrowth #Mindset #SelfImprovement

Complacency: The Hidden Threat to Founders and CEOs Complacency is one of the biggest dangers founders and CEOs will face as their businesses grow. Early success is almost always tied to a founder’s ability to push boundaries. They spot an industry or a process that’s gotten lazy and stagnant, and they disrupt it. In those early days, the founder is in the middle of everything—making sure the business is moving fast, solving problems, and staying laser-focused on the customer. But as the company scales, things change. The founder can’t be everywhere all the time. The moment you add layers of management, complacency starts to sneak in. Why? Because pushing limits—whether it’s speed, tough decisions, or uncomfortable conversations—is hard. Founders are willing to live in discomfort because their livelihood depends on it. Managers, on the other hand, don’t have the same skin in the game, and that’s where the difference lies. Here’s what happens: as you hire or promote managers, there will be many instances of those who tolerate mediocre or poor performance because it’s easier to avoid confrontation than to deal with it head-on. They may let urgent tasks take over the important ones because saying “yes” is more comfortable than saying “no.” They may ask for more resources than necessary because it’s easier to work with more. And they may resist working in a fast-paced, risk-filled environment because it’s not fun to always be flying the plane while building it. It’s human nature to seek comfort, and that’s exactly what happens when a business grows. Not because they are bad people or intentionally trying to slow your business down. But because they have invisible forces of nature pushing them to live in a safe and comfortable environment. This is where founders and CEOs either step up or lose control of their business. As a founder or CEO, you set the pace. You’re the one who has to keep pushing the boundaries—not just in the early days to make the business viable, but as it scales. If you let complacency take root in your team, you’ll lose that edge. If you sense that your business is getting comfortable, it’s time to grab the wheel and drive change. Start having those hard conversations. Push for more speed. Fight for what’s best for your customers. Challenge your team to be more resourceful. And know that not everyone will be cut out for this. If you want to build an exceptional business, you’ll need people who are comfortable being uncomfortable—people who have the grit to stick with you through the challenges. It won’t be common to find them, but that’s the price of building something uncommon.

  • Many successful entrepreneurs chose their professional path to pursue freedom over the corporate ladder. However, a common challenge we see is as a business grows, it demands more from the owner. Many owners we work with need help taking strategic action to maintain their personal freedom as their business scales.

  • Why did you start your company? With the business skills you've used to get your company off the ground, you likely could have landed a great job in the corporate world. You could have climbed the ladder and had a great career. But you didn't. Why? When we peel back the layers to understand what drives successful entrepreneurs, we see a common theme. They value personal freedom over conforming to someone else's rules. Unfortunately for many successful entrepreneurs rather than enabling freedom, growth usually comes at the expense of your freedom.
