We had an absolutely awesome time learning and dancing at Mercer County Schools in West Virginia with about 1,400 first- and second-graders this past Friday at the Chuck Mathena Center! ?? Mr. Prather and Playwatch Kids helped us put together an engaging presentation that combined dancing, exercise, singing, literacy, numeracy, and science learning! Our partnership is helping to revolutionize early childhood education, bringing exciting and accessible educational tools to students across the country. A huge thank you to Mercer County Schools, Mr. Prather, Jimmy Jenkins, and the entire PlayWatch, Inc. team for making this an unforgettable event! Additionally, special thanks to the dignitaries in attendance for supporting this initiative. We look forward to seeing this transformative effort of equitable STEM education and learning spread across more communities. ?? JASON Keynote Speaker & Educational Partner Spotlight!? Say hello to Jimmy Jenkins, an inspiring director, writer, and producer representing JASON from Maryland! We are excited to share that Jimmy will be a keynote presenter at the JASON National Conference on July 1-2, 2024. His presentation will be on Tuesday, July 2, at 8:45AM EST and cover the impact of educational media.?? ?? Connection to JASON: I learned about JASON through a friend. Once I was able to see all the amazing work JASON is doing, it became a match made in heaven for us. Since the introduction, our working relationship has been nothing but magical. ?? Current job title/what you're up to now: CEO/Founder of PlayWatch, Inc. I am currently full-fledged in providing educational and inspiring content for children?of all ethnicities. Outside of that working on narrative feature films and other passion projects. My main focus is Playwatch Kids, and that will continue as we grow. ?? Favorite JASON memory/experience: My favorite experience was meeting Dr. Eleanor Smalley, she truly has been such a ball of light. Also, working with?the JASON team has been nothing but a great experience. Everyone is insightful and knowledgeable?about education. Our first meeting set the tone for something that I feel will one day impact our children and their children. ?? Advice, encouragement, and ideas to engage students in STEM education: I would encourage everyone to figure out ways to use engaging content to help educate our children. Every child loves screens, and if we can create educational content that is also tied to great storytelling, I feel we will create a space where children all over the world would be excited to learn daily. ??
