Located at 2121 N. Clybourn Ave, SPF Chicago opened in early 2024 as Chicago’s largest indoor pickleball facility, providing a tropical getaway in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The dining and entertainment concept features state-of-the-art amenities, new dining options and robust family programming, serving as a year-round recreation, entertainment and community hub. The 42,000 square-foot space features 9 dedicated indoor pickleball courts with instant replay technology, a grab-and-go food and coffee bar and guest amenities including spacious locker rooms complete with saunas and showers. Guests can also take advantage of additional games and activities including an indoor turf field, cornhole, air hockey and more.

A year ago, we started demolition on what would become Play SPF. Most often, people call it a pickleball facility, but for me, the goal has always been to create a vibrant community hub that would bring Chicago together for laughter and fun, or as one person put it - a “funsational†recreational destination. Watching SPF come to life over the past year, in my very own backyard, has been an amazing journey. I may start to use my LinkedIn as an outlet to reflect, tell stories and most importantly, share my learnings from our business. I’m excited for what lies ahead and to share it with all of you and if you have a similar passion for experiential hospitality and the special ability of pickleball to bring community together, always feel free to reach out. I wanted to thank everyone who helped us throughout this first year.? So many great people have been involved in making SPF a reality.?
