Today, Play Equity Fund convened the Play Equity Coalition Los Angeles. This collaboration includes nearly 50 sport-based youth development organizations and providers that have chosen to work together to impact public policy and advance systems change to expand access to youth sports and play for kids in their communities. A special thank you to Deputy Mayor of International Affairs Erin Bromaghim, who stopped by to discuss LA's plans for upcoming major sports events and how grassroots orgs can play a role. We can't wait to keep the momentum going with this movement! #playequity

We had questions about our youth's ability to play in the state of California. We asked parents and students to tell us about their attitudes and experiences, challenges, and rewards. Their answers are eye-opening, and the mandate is clear: close the play equity gap. This Friday, September 27th, our 2024 California Play Equity Report goes live. Dig into the results with us.
