Cheer squad. . This past Friday night, three members of our Platt team cheered on the design community at the annual IFDA Awards Gala held at the Park Plaza Hotel. Big congratulations to all the winners, but especially to two of our faves: Sage Conti and Vivian Robins – both of whom won for projects we built. We don’t always dig deeper. . Construction isn’t always glamorous but we take the time to do things correctly and continuously learn better ways to build. We spent this morning training the town of Concord DPW that digging deeper isn’t always necessary to upgrade infrastructure. Instead, we can cause less disruption by thinking outside the box, digging less, and tying in differently. Our clients have some cost savings, neighbors are less inconvenienced, and new lines work beautifully. Wins all around!! Zen. . It was photo shoot day yesterday and we are in love with this space designed by ZEN Associates, Inc. Led by Rina Okawa, LEED AP and Beth Torrey, the entire day was focused on capturing this project from the design perspective of the indoor/outdoor living in this 5-story Brookline home. The design team added layers of cabinetry, wall coverings, lighting, and millwork indoors, and entertainment areas and plantings outdoors.
