October 10th is World Mental Health Day. World Mental Health Day is recognized across the world on October 10 to generate public awareness about the importance of mental health problems and to empower people so that they may shed their inhibitions and come forward to talk about it. Construction workers face a variety of threats on the job site. Physical hazards: like slips, trips and falls, and struck-by incidents are some of the most common accidents in construction. Additionally, data shows that many construction workers are at an increased risk of experiencing mental health disorders. At Plateau, we pride ourselves on fostering a family-like atmosphere. One of the most meaningful ways we do this within our field teams is through our “Putting the Hat Down” initiative. This mission-driven approach allows team members to raise funds for one another during times of hardship or tragedy. Lee Patrick’s crew “put the hat down” to raise over $1,600 for those affected by Hurricane Milton. Plateau will be matching each dollar donated by our crews to maximize the support for those in need. We stand united in our thoughts and prayers, and we are proud to be part of a community that rallies together in times of need.
