They are a small but mighty group that accounted for it, marketed it, sold it, mapped out bottling schedules, sourced dry goods, and will ultimately make wine. It amazes me on a daily basis how professional and efficient this team is at what it does. More importantly, they are amazing people. Thankful for my Plata Peeps!

Cheers to another successful grape harvest! At Plata, we have a tradition of starting the season by christening the first bin of grapes with a splash of bubbles. With this year’s condensed harvest, we decided to celebrate post-harvest at one of our facilities with sparkling wine and donuts instead —an epic breakfast combo! We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing teamwork across vineyards, winemaking, and facilities, all working in perfect harmony to make the magic happen. Now, we can’t wait to turn these beautiful grapes into delicious wine!

We’re diving into our premium Napa AVAs: Pope Valley, Oak Knoll, Oakville, Yountville, and Suscol Mountain. With Cabernet as the star of the late harvest, these last few weeks are some of the most exciting and rewarding of the season. This year's smaller Cabernet berries are a win for us, delivering a high skin-to-juice ratio that promises richer color and more intricate flavors in the glass.
