Exciting Day at Business Gateway! We had an incredible time hosting the Business Gateway event on our campus last week, where high school students from all over came together to showcase their talents and compete in various contests! A huge thank you to all the participants, teachers, and volunteers who made this event a success.

We had an incredible time at the recent SBDC event where we tackled some of the biggest myths surrounding Artificial Intelligence! ??? From understanding the true capabilities of AI to exploring its ethical implications, our expert speakers provided valuable insights and sparked engaging discussions. MSSU Plaster School of Business students had an opportunity to explore new career paths! Ron Orick from ArcBest came to our campus and shared valuable insights about potential opportunities within the company. It was a great chance for students to network and learn how they could drive their future forward with ArcBest.

We would like to thank Bethany Burney, an MSSU Mathematics alumna, for meeting with Dr. Dominic Buccieri and Dr. Abhijeet Kumar to discuss the future of the MS in Data Analytics program. She also met with College of Business, Communication, and Technology members, including Dr. Elke Howe, Dr. Claudia Wilson, Dr. Marsi Archer, and Dr. Bhavana Bhardwaj, about starting a Women in Science and Technology group. This group will recruit, retain, and support women in science and tech fields with the goal to smooth the transition from academia to industry. Thank you for your passion to lead this wonderful initiative.

Some of our business students had the chance to present their work to the PSB Advisory Board. They talked about the clubs they are involved in, such as the Finance Club and Delta Mu Delta, and shared their work-based learning projects. Work-based learning is all about learning by doing, and it allows students to gain practical experience through community projects."
