Partner marketers, we know co-hosted events are a great way to expand reach, build credibility, save budget, and strengthen relationships—but let’s be real, the logistics can get messy fast. Here’s how to keep things smooth from start to finish: ?? Align on goals & build a timeline – Before diving into details, get clear on why you’re hosting the event, who should attend, and what success looks like. Then, work backward to set key deadlines. ?? Decide on budget responsibilities early – Who’s covering what? Lock in the financial split upfront so there are no surprises down the road. ?? Dial in the details – What’s the format? Is this a content-driven event or purely networking? Will it be a sit-down meal or light bites? Is there co-branded swag? Hash these out early. ?? Align on promotion & registration – Who’s building the landing page? Who owns registrations? What channels will each team use to drive sign-ups? Make sure both teams are pulling their weight. ?? Balance internal attendees – Decide how many employees from each company should attend so guests aren’t outnumbered by staff. The goal is meaningful networking, not an internal meetup. Every partner event is different, but a little upfront planning makes a huge difference. If you're tackling a co-hosted event soon, we've got your back!

Event marketing isn’t just about venues, swag, and speakers—it’s about strategy, experience, and engagement. Some things are in, some things are out… here’s our breakdown for 2025: ? IN: - Strategic event experiences – It’s not just about throwing an event; it’s about creating moments that drive real impact. - Personalized touchpoints – Custom swag, curated gifting, and white-glove service win every time. - Creative networking formats – Think braindates, hosted buyer meetings, and unique seating setups. - Multi-touch engagement – Pre-event hype, onsite experiences, and thoughtful post-event follow-ups keep the momentum going. - Tech that enhances, not complicates – Smart badges, lead capture tools, and interactive activations. - Attendee comfort zones – Wellness lounges, quiet zones, and flexible schedules make events more inclusive ? - Quality over quantity – 50 engaged attendees > 500 who don’t care - Post-event ROI tracking – If you’re not measuring impact, you’re just throwing a party. ? OUT: - One-size-fits-all events – No more cookie-cutter experiences. Customization is key. - Swag no one keeps – If they won’t use it, don’t buy it. - Awkward forced networking – Ditch the icebreakers that feel like high school orientation. - Booths with zero interaction – If your trade show booth doesn’t invite engagement, it’s just an expensive sign. - Death by PowerPoint – Keep sessions interactive and dynamic. - Ignoring accessibility – Events should be welcoming for everyone. - No follow-up strategy – The event isn’t over when it ends. The real work starts after the last guest leaves. Additions are welcome!

Pulling off a first-time conference is a lot, but the difference between a decent one and an exceptional one? It’s not just big-name speakers, flashy swag, or fancy branding (though those all help). Here’s what truly makes a first-time conference stand out: 1?? Not-boring content – Attendees don’t just want to sit through keynotes; they want actual networking time with peers. Build in structured discussions, roundtables, and interactive sessions that help people connect. 2?? Experiential touchpoints – Make people feel your brand. Whether it’s a custom swag experience or a creative lounge space, these details turn your conference into something memorable. 3?? Internal enablement – Your team needs to be set up for success. A solid event brief, a pre-event strategy meeting, and a “Know Before You Go” guide will keep everyone aligned and ready to execute seamlessly. First-time conferences don’t have to feel overwhelming—when you focus on the right things, they just work!
