PBPC is engaged in global climate discussions at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Executive Director James Glueck and Senior Director of Sustainability Jamaica Gayle are representing PBPC in key conversations on climate policy and agriculture. On Saturday, James joined a panel hosted by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture to discuss how a circular bioeconomy can reduce waste, create jobs, and support sustainable development. Yesterday, Jamaica participated in a UNFCCC side event, co-organized by PBPC, on building a circular economy and adopting innovative, collaborative approaches for achieving sustainable climate goals. The groundwork laid at COP29 paves the way for further dialogue and development at COP30, where PBPC will continue driving critical conversations toward lasting policies impacting the bioeconomy. #COP29

Five years ago, the Plant Based Products Council was formed to build a world where sustainable, plant-based products and packaging were the norm. Today, we’re convening critical discussions for the success of the ag bioeconomy. In 2025, PBPC will advocate for increased grant opportunities, USDA-led standardized labeling definitions, and tax policy and incentives that could level the playing field for U.S. biomanufacturing.
