On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the incredible work of many of our partners empowering #women in underserved areas. With the Foundation’s support, BOMA.ngo is enrolling 2,100 women entrepreneurs in the drylands of southern #Ethiopia, restoring land and creating pathways out of poverty for 13,000 people through seed capital, business training, and climate adaptation initiatives. Since 2012, Root Capital has invested USD 700 million in women-led enterprises, benefiting over 600,000 women farmers. The Women in Agriculture Initiative bridges gender gaps by offering financial services and gender equity training to help women lead in agriculture. Planet Indonesia empowers women through savings cooperatives, financial literacy, and leadership roles in conservation and community governance, while improving healthcare and education for women and girls. One of our newest partners, Nuru provides women with livestock, business training, and microloans to promote financial independence in Ethiopia and Nigeria. Nuru also ensures women take on leadership roles, giving them a stronger voice in their communities. Education For Employment - Europe (EFE-Europe) equips young women in North Africa with skills in renewable energy and climate-smart agriculture, addressing high youth unemployment. With 60% of its graduates being women, EFE has helped thousands to secure jobs and start businesses in the green economy. These are some examples of the steadfast commitment of the Foundation's partners to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for women worldwide. #InternationalWomensDay Learn more about our partnerships: https://lnkd.in/eYVb7H-u
