? Google is expanding its partnership with INSAIT! The decision from Google comes after evaluating INSAIT’s results for the last 2 years since inception. Towards that: ?? Google is donating 1 million USD for AI PhD fellowships at INSAIT, one of Google’s largest donations for PhD fellowships in 2024 to date! This will provide INSAIT doctoral students with the opportunity to be co-mentored/advised by Google DeepMind researchers, in addition to their local INSAIT advisers in Sofia. ?? Google is providing 1M USD worth of GCP credits for GPU AI compute, needed for advanced AI research. ?? Google is providing access to its TPU Research Cloud for AI research and training Generative AI models, quantified to be starting at around 2 million USD, but expected to increase substantially by the end of 2024. ??The news was announced at the first Google Cloud event in Sofia today by the VP of Google DeepMind, Research, Dr. Slav Petrov, Boris Georgiev, Director of Google Cloud for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Bulgarian Minister of Education and Science Prof. Galin Tzokov, and Prof. Martin Vechev, founder and scientific director of INSAIT. ?? This is the second large donation Google has made for INSAIT. Only 2 years ago, on inception, Google donated 250,000 USD for PhD fellowships and 3 million worth of cloud credits. ?? It is expected that the collaboration between INSAIT and Google will deepen in the coming months and years. ?? We thank Google for the trust and support in INSAIT’s mission!
