By Matthew Eschrich, CRP, GMS-T, DBA: My research found that out of 238 expatriate management articles, 80% focused on social issues, 19% on economic literature, and only 1% on environmental issues. Surveys showed most companies have ESG goals, but environmental sustainability is not the main focus. ESG impacts were 47.38% for E, 49.95% for S, and 52.09% for G. This suggests environmental sustainability is important but not prioritized compared to social and governance aspects.
