The Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA) has awarded the South Package of the $2.3 billion Long Bridge Project to a design-build team that will expand rail capacity and connectivity over the Potomac River between Washington, D.C., and Arlington, VA. The Long Bridge Rail Partners (LBRP) joint venture — consisting of PJ Dick - Trumbull - Lindy, S&B USA Construction & Fay, and Wagman — has been selected as the design-build contractor for the project, with STV serving as the lead designer. ?? More than 80 slab-on-deck pours awaited PJ Dick's Construction Services Group - Concrete Division when they started structural concrete pours at our healthcare project in Oakland. Last month, they reached a significant milestone — the first roof pour! CSG workers took in the morning sunrise atop the tower as they poured the first slab, measuring at 11,000 sf. This week, GBA welcomes Emu Passive and participants from across the Pittsburgh region, Ohio, and New York for a five-day Passive Design/Build Boot Camp.?The course includes classroom learning and intensive, hands-on training designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to build high-performance, energy-efficient homes. The week will conclude with an accreditation exam to become a Certified Passive House Tradesperson.
