"I have kids that struggle with art but then they work on Assembly and it opens up an avenue and I see them express themselves in a way they've never been able to." – Chris Gaghan, Hicksville, Ohio Chris Gaghan is a middle school visual arts teacher in Ohio who started using Assembly when it came out – he used it as an activity for students who had finished work early. A few years in, Assembly added more features and he launched a graphic design unit. For the past few years, he's had 150 students per year?work on Assembly in his graphic design unit. They do projects like character design, logo design (including a school logo!), architecture and others. We are *buzzing* from the energy that students brought to Zinnia’s booth at the NYU college fair this week. So many students love the idea of the way Zinnia supports mental health – from self-care to creativity. Debbie Ali and Rebecca Brandt chatted to a bunch of students who are interested in becoming Zinnia college ambassadors. Our College Ambassador program is paid (because, no, college students aren’t free labor!), and offers swag & other bennies – but it’s also a way to share something awesome with friends and classmates.
