We had a great time at #PAXWest! ????
I know, I know—PAX West was weeks ago, but I’m finally sitting down to reflect on what a whirlwind of #inspiration it was to attend on behalf of Pixels Electronic Dice . As someone new to the #gaming industry, it was my first big convention, and I’m still (somehow) working through all the follow-ups to the amazing people we met. Seeing the creativity and inclusivity of this community in person was magical. I was blown away by how everyone—from game makers to adaptive gaming advocates—showed up with so much passion and openness. As we wrap up Backer rewards on our successful 3.5M Kickstarter, Pixels is at an exciting stage, writing our #startup story day by day. With that in mind, here are some highlights from our time at PAX West: ?? ???????? ???????????? We had great conversations with both indie developers and larger studios about how we might integrate Pixels Dice into games, platforms, or merch. The idea of our dice potentially being used as a core part of new gaming experiences and brands is so #motivating. ?? ???????????????? ???????????? & ???????????????????????????? We met with some truly inspiring organizations to discuss how our features could support #neurodiverse and #visuallyimpaired #gamers. We’re already looking forward to partnering on initiatives that include sponsorships and hopefully making big conventions more accessible. ?? ?????????????????? We’re keeping our open-source platform front and center as we aspire to collaborate with #educational groups to inspire up-and-coming game developers. It’s all about seeing how far others can take what we’ve built. ?? ???????? ???????????? Connecting with fellow dice creators was great. We’re excited to explore ways to bring Pixels’ tech to the wider dice-making community. ?? ?????????????????????? & ???????????????? We also connected with some incredible influencers and agencies to talk about spreading the word about Pixels Dice. We're hopeful for some exciting collabs! ??? And a shout-out to our founder, Jean Simonet, for being the best guide through my first industry event. As someone who’s seen it all in the gaming world, your patience with my wide-eyed discoveries (yes, even the "scary movie video games" revelation) never went unnoticed. The shared excitement that you, and the rest of the Pixels team, bring is a big part of what ?????????? ???????? ?????????????? ???? ????????????????????...also the extremely cool #dice ??? ?
