Breaking News in Cybersecurity…. Google is reportedly in advanced discussions to acquire cybersecurity startup Wiz for approximately $30 billion. This potential acquisition underscores Google commitment to strengthening its cloud security offerings amid fierce competition with Microsoft and Amazon Wiz, founded in 2020 by Assaf Rappaport, Ami Luttwak, Yinon, and Roy has rapidly emerged as a leader in the cybersecurity landscape. Wiz previously declined a $23 billion offer from Google in July 2024, opting instead to pursue an initial public offering (IPO). This renewed interest from Google highlights Wiz’s significant impact and the escalating importance of robust cloud security solutions.
