We are pleased to share the celebration of the groundbreaking of The Grand and The Glen, a 70-unit community in Toledo, Ohio. This 70-unit, $31 million scattered-site development features two locations approximately five miles apart, offering a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments as well as three- and four-bedroom townhomes. While scattered site, the project will be owned, managed, and operated as one development. 50 of the project's units, collectively known as "The Glen," are situated in the underutilized parking lot of Toledo's Southland Shopping Plaza at 3440 Glendale Avenue. These include 31 one-bedroom units and 19 two-bedroom units in an amenity rich 4-story building. "The Grand," located at the vacant, city-owned 1157 Grand Avenue, will consist of 20, 2 story townhomes—10 three-bedroom townhomes and 10 four-bedroom townhomes. All units will be available to households earning between 50% and 70% of the county median income. The development emphasizes thoughtful design, energy efficiency, and accessibility, with features that enable residents to comfortably age in place. The Grand and The Glen aims to diversify housing options, revitalize vacant or underutilized parcels, and inject approximately $31 million of investment into the City of Toledo.
