How many of us dreamed of becoming a pilot as a kid? I know I did, but I never thought I would actually one day fly. Thanks to the development of #eVTOL technology (electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles), companies like Pivotal are making it easier than ever to become a pilot (if you have the $$$). After less than a week on a simulator, I was solo flying one of Pivotal's 4th generation preproduction aircraft called the BlackFly. I've had some pretty incredible experiences in my career, but I can safely say this was near the top of the list. Because the BlackFly and Pivotal's production model Helix are classified as Ultralight aircraft, they don't require certification to operate. Typically training takes about 10 days (for transparency, I completed an abbreviated training which limited the type of flying I was allowed to do). Massive thanks to my fantastic flight instructors Sabrina Alesna and John Gilbert, as well as the rest of the team at Pivotal including Myles Weissleder and Heidi Groshelle. The Pivotal team had an absolute blast at this year’s @LasVegasConcours, held at the wonderful Wynn Las Vegas. Everything from a fabulous rooftop sunset party to the all-day main event featuring the #Helix alongside some of the most exotic cars on the planet was, well, out of this world. It was an incredible event, and we were thrilled to exhibit the Helix to new fans in such a spectacular setting. We can’t wait to go back! #WynnLasVegas?#LasVegasConcours
