The poll results are in! We asked our community about the most challenging parts of the hiring process, and here’s what we learned: ?? 39% of candidates find crafting a standout resume to be harder than interview preparation. ?? On the other side, 62% of hiring managers said finding qualified candidates is their biggest challenge while screening resumes and making final decisions both received only 15% of the votes. ?? Takeaway: There’s a clear disconnect between candidates and hiring managers— candidates struggle to create resumes that showcase their unique skills while hiring managers find it tough to locate those hidden gems. Lyda Conley’s fight to protect her ancestors’ graves was as personal as it was historic. Born to a Wyandotte mother and an English farmer in Kansas, Lyda grew up rowing across the river with her sister to attend school. She later became a lawyer, and stood before the Supreme Court in 1910, becoming the first Native American woman to do so. Though she lost in court, her efforts led to a 1913 law preserving the cemetery, which was officially named a National Historic Landmark in 2017.
