?? IMPORTANT SERVICE NOTICE ?? Starting tomorrow, the Monongahela Incline will be closed for scheduled maintenance. It is expected to reopen this Saturday after crews replace the incline's safety cable. This essential maintenance is performed every 6-8 years to ensure safe and reliable service. This work is routine and separate from the recent rehabilitation project. For alternate routes to and from Mt. Washington, please use the 40-Mt. Washington or shuttle buses, which will run between the Station Square Station bus stop and the upper incline station. Due to multiple events around the Pittsburgh area today, non-essential Pittsburgh Regional Transit employees will have an early dismissal at noon. Yesterday, CEO Katharine Eagan Kelleman joined Congressman Chris Deluzio and Borough Of Dormont Council members to celebrate a $500,000 federal grant awarded to enhance Dormont Junction. This funding will bring key improvements, including: ? Better accessibility and improved access points ? Updated concrete platform and protective canopies ? Enhanced lighting for safer, brighter spaces ? New security cameras, seating, info displays, and public address systems We anticipate beginning construction next year, and we can’t wait to bring these upgrades to life for our community! ??
