About the Pittsburgh Playhouse – The Pittsburgh Playhouse at Point Park University, is a 90,411 square-foot center for arts and entertainment that serves as an artistic laboratory for the prestigious Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA) and Downtown Pittsburgh’s newest home for arts and entertainment. The Playhouse is comprised of professional, artist educators dedicated to an approach to training that enables students to pursue careers as professionals. COPA includes Departments of Theatre, Dance, and Cinema. The four-story, arts facility, located in Downtown Pittsburgh at 350 Forbes Avenue, features the 550-seat PNC Theatre,; the 200-seat Highmark Theatre, and the 99-seat Rauh Theatre.

The future of dance shines bright! Our inaugural Fall into Dance Festival at Point Park University was a tremendous event! Over 90 high school dancers from around the region joined the professional artists of the Koresh Dance Company for an experience of a lifetime.
These past two days have been incredibly inspiring. I am reminded of the transformative power of the arts. Over 90 high school dancers from 8 regional school programs and organizations joined our inaugural Pittsburgh Playhouse “Fall into Dance Festival” at Point Park University! These aspiring hopefuls experienced classes with the KORESH Dance Company, a college fair, performed live onstage at a showcase for family and friends, and attended two performances at the Playhouse. Most important, the group bonded as a community, ignited their passion, and celebrated their talents.
