?? 75% of Resumes Are Rejected Before a Human Even Sees Them! ?? If you’re applying for jobs and hearing nothing back, your resume might not even be making it to a recruiter. Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) are filtering out 3 out of 4 resumes before they’re ever reviewed. Here’s how to make sure YOUR resume gets through: ? Ditch the fancy graphics. ATS struggles with images, icons, and text boxes—stick to plain text. ? Use standard fonts & formatting. Arial, Times New Roman, or Calibri work best. Bold and italics are fine, but avoid columns and tables. ? Optimize keywords (but don’t overdo it). Tailor your resume for each job, using relevant skills from the job description. ? Be careful with hyperlinks. Some ATS systems cut out text attached to hyperlinks, so place links separately in parentheses. ? Save it in the right format. Use .docx or PDF unless the job posting specifies otherwise—older ATS systems struggle with PDFs. ? Make your contact info easy to find. Your name, email, and phone number should be clearly at the top. ? Keep formatting consistent. Clean, structured resumes are easier for ATS to read. ? Don’t apply to every job at one company. Recruiters can see this—and it makes you look unsure of what you really want. ? Proofread everything. A single spelling mistake can cost you an interview—run it through spell check or Grammarly. Want to check if your resume passes the ATS test? Try these free tools: ?? Resume Worded ?? Jobscan ?? ZipJob ?? TopResume ?? Skillroads Your resume should impress BOTH the ATS and a human recruiter. Get it right, and you’ll finally start getting those interview calls. ??
